TERRITORIAL WINE TRAIL: A NEW TOUR ROUTE IN LANE COUNTY
The route extends from Monroe to Cottage Grove along Territorial Highway.

Junction City, --The Territorial Wine Trail is a new packaged tour route offered by the award-winning Oregon Country Trails, Oregon's only branded, rural tourism system. Expected to launch this June, the "TWT" is designed to lure wine tourists from the north Willamette Valley to the wineries and businesses along Territorial Highway in Lane County.

The Territorial Wine Trail is the latest in a series of packaged tour routes offered by the Oregon Country Trails.  Founder, Danuta Pfeiffer says she hopes to see this route contribute tourism dollars to the community. "Our south Willamette wineries are hidden gems," Pfeiffer says, who is also co-owner with her husband Robin of Pfeiffer Winery in Junction City.  "We hope to lure wine enthusiasts off I-5 and from the the North Willamette Valley to sample some of the finest wines in the world, made right here in the south Willamette Valley."

Pfeiffer says brochures are being designed in conjunction with the South Willamette Wineries Association and she expects extra visibility through a collaboration with the newly formed RV Alliance. "The RV Alliance is planning its visitor campaign around the Oregon Country Trails packages.  It should be an exciting year for our members."
